Pros: Physically a nice looking item, decent price. The included software has some interesting effects you and your kid might get a kick out of. Decent price.

They claim this to be 720p, but I've looked at it closely in a 1280x720 window (with 1280x720 mode enabled on the camera) under bright lighting conditions and it looks almost like 640x480 blown up. In other words, it doesn't look any sharper in 720 mode as it does in 480. I have a background in video and graphics, so I know what I'm looking at. Even the 640x480 has jagged edges, for example on the curves of my face, etc. It seems if you were to take the 1280x720p frames and scale them down to 640x480, the picture would look decent. It's as if the camera or driver is compressing the video before it gets to the screen. This probably what's going on with other web cams.
The "stand" isn't all that great in real-world use, at least for me. It feels nice to bend and you think it's cool, but not the best in practice. It's super-light, so it's very easily moved if you're just putting it on your desk.
Other Thoughts: This makes a good web cam, but don't think you'll be getting any 720p-level sharpness. It's just not there. It has modes between 640x480 and 1280x720, but none look any better than 640x480.
The ClearFrame technology seems to just auto-adjust all the manual options like exposure, brightness, contrast, etc. It's not revolutionary or anything.
It does 30FPS, but of course if it's darker in the room, the exposure is longer and you're then getting like 10FPS with a lot of blur, just like other web cams. You can adjust things manually though and get 30FPS in the dark, you just get a darker/grainy picture.
